My beloved disciple and child, I want to welcome you to the school of discipleship and encourage you to be strong. This journey is for those who have made up their minds to be strong and perseverant. On this journey, there shall be so many rough times, moments of pain, of dryness and much more and if you are not prepared, you will not make it through but will backslide as many others did. There are so many of them out there who came with so much zeal but fell off when the first wind blew. Be prepared my dear child for I can assure you that, it won’t be easy. My first disciples who followed me learnt on the road and being on the move constantly and not having enough on their plates helped them understand what the mission was all about. They lived with me a life of surrender and abandonment and learnt to rely on divine providence taking one step at a time. They left behind all they had and embraced the life of detachment learning how to attach themselves to the Father. Many of them stopped following me when they saw how difficult it was. I pray for you, that you will not backslide but remain steadfast. This is what I am calling you to learn in the desert. I am calling you to realise that you can never truly be my disciple if you do not put Me first in everything you do. I am calling you to understand that unless you give up the distractions, you will always be vulnerable and the evil one will always have something to slow you down with. The desert is to teach you that I am all that matters and every other thing you want and need will flow from me. Denying yourself is an integral part of the journey and it is the most difficult. Leaving behind all that you so desire and marching forward could feel like dying and yes that’s what it is. Dying to the world to live freely and far from the worries of the world. Allow me to teach you the way you need to go, to teach you the path to true happiness. True happiness lies in total submission and obedience. Trusting and obeying is the only true way to be happy. Giving up your will and desire to determine how your life goes and allowing me to direct it for you is the path to true success and happiness. My ways may seem inappropriate to you but they will surely lead you to total fulfilment and satisfaction. Come and learn from Me how to navigate through this world without being corrupted by it. Come and learn from me the art of living a live of peace and joy and a life of divine favour. You have chosen to follow me because you know I have good plans for you, so then surrender to me and allow me to lead you through the fastest and surest roads that lead to your joy and fulfilment. Remember you are safe and secure with me as long as you follow my lead and do not derail from it. The road might be rocky and slippery but the end is beautiful.
