My beloved child, today I invite you to embrace my cross as a symbol of victory and salvation for you. My cross is the tree that gives life and not death. Your forefathers approached the tree of the garden and harvested death but upon this new tree, you will harvest blessings for you and your loved ones. My precious blood which brings healing and deliverance watered the cross and made it flourish for you. The cross is therefore for you a fount of life that never goes dry. In the past, the Jews carried the phylacteries on them to keep my words always close to them, but today I am calling on you to carry my cross on you wherever you go so that you can be close to my victory always and be reminded of the price of your salvation. Keep the cross close to you always so that as you walk along you can easily nail on it the obstacles and evils that come your way. When you carry the cross on you, you are bearing the symbol of my victory over evil and death and you are claiming over your life the same victory. I encouraged my disciples in the times past to carry their crosses and follow me so that they could learn from me how to defeat the world and the evil in it. I am encouraging you today to do the same so that in today’s world which seeks to banish my cross, you will become a sign of the true gospel to them. By accepting the cross like my disciples did, you contribute to my work of salvation. You are becoming the Simon of Cyrene of your own time. I know you dread the cross and see it as a form of suffering but I want you to know that the cross you bear is not a form of suffering but it is a weapon given to you to win victory over the world and all its desires. Carrying your cross is all about putting yourself under check and staying on the right track. Everyone wants Easter Sunday but you must remember that before Easter comes Good Friday.
